Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
A warm welcome to St Mark’s Catholic Primary School.
We hope that our website will give you an idea of what makes St Mark’s the special, spiritual and enriching environment of which we are all proud to be part.
As a “Community of Faith and Learning”, we see Christ at the centre of the day-to-day life of the school and this is expressed through the concern and respect we have for the efforts and achievements of everyone. Our aim as a Catholic community is to develop our pupils’ knowledge and understanding of our faith, while promoting Christian values in all aspects of daily life. We have identified six core values (6Rs) that stem from our Vision and are deeply rooted in the Gospel Values. Our mission statement, “With Jesus, Live Life to the Full”, is at the heart of our Catholic ethos, which permeates all areas of school life.
Our school community consists of children from many different cultures and faiths. We pride ourselves on the richness that this diversity brings to all aspects of our school life, making us inclusive, confident and forward thinking. Our school provides our children with a broad and balanced curriculum based on four pillars which put Christ at the centre of school life. The children attending our school reflect our school values. We are very proud of our children; they enjoy learning, they are supportive of each other and the school environment, they are polite, respectful, and work hard.
A feature of which we are extremely proud is our strong partnership between parents, staff, governors and the children themselves. We welcome parental involvement in all aspects of academic learning and wider school activities. Our aim is to be approachable and interested in your thoughts and opinions.
If you have any questions or would like to visit us and meet members of our school community, please contact the school office.
