Starting School in September
We are so excited for your child to be joining Reception Class in September and hope that you and your children have enjoyed the taster ‘stay and play’ sessions. Due to the current circumstances, when all children return to school on Monday 5th September, the intake for our ‘Little Lions’ in Reception.
Week commencing 5th September, the cohort have been split into two groups A and B and children will be offered a daily session; either a morning or afternoon to prepare them for fulltime daily attendance. Parents have been sent confirmation of each session for their child. Please drop off and collect from the school gate to the playground. For this week, we ask that parents please provide a nut free packed lunch/snack.
Every year, we encourage parents to support their children to become more independent during the summer holidays. Please start practising changing in and out of the school uniform and PE kit using new words such as plimsoles, shirts, ties. We have seen children try to put their legs through shirt sleeves! Ensure that your child can use a knife and fork and feed themselves i.e. have good table manners and/or undo the wrapping of items in their lunchboxes. Children should be able to go to the toilet by themselves. If your child has any specific needs then please do notify us on the Parental Questionnaire form so that all care plans can be prepared in advance as we want to ensure a warm welcome.
God bless.
